Glenn Harris and Jeffrey Lefcourt Bring Breakfast Favorites to the East Village
NEW YORK, June 12, 2008 - Glenn Harris and Jeffrey Lefcourt, founders of Cornertable Restaurants, are pleased to offer East Village diners an alternative option for casual and business weekday breakfasts at The Smith (55 Third Avenue; 212.420.9800). Breakfast is available Monday to Friday beginning at 8:30 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
Breakfast at The Smith features poached egg dishes including the classic Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict; Potato Waffle topped with Poached Eggs and Creamed Spinach; and Chicken Sausage + Eggs with Spicy Corn Bread smothered in White Gravy. Griddle favorites include French Toast with Maple Butter and Caramelized Bananas; Waffles with Strawberries, Fresh Whipped Cream and Maple Syrup; and Pancakes with Apples, Walnuts and White Rum Caramel. Signature omelettes include Mushroom Omelette with Fontina; Open Face Omelette with Asparagus and Brie; and Egg White Omelette with Spinach and Goat Cheese.
Harris and Lefcourt founded Cornertable Restaurants as a restaurant management company dedicated to offering the highest-quality ingredients, exceptional customer service and a commitment to eco-friendly practices. Each of their restaurants showcases a seasonal, value-driven menu in an approachable atmosphere.

In November 2007, Cornertable Restaurants opened The Smith (55 Third Avenue; 212.420.9800), a casual, bi-level American brasserie, in Manhattan's East Village neighborhood.
The Smith is open seven days a week, opening at 8:30 a.m. and serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Delivery is now available from 4th - 8th Streets between Broadway and 1st Avenue beginning at 11:30 a.m. thru midnight from a limited menu.
