George Garrity, high-end residential Manhattan contractor and owner of G. Garrity Contracting Corp, has teamed up with consulting chef Josh Eden to open Pour George at 35 West 8th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues). Taking the classic American sports bar to the next level, Pour George allows guests to enjoy well-executed, farm-fresh cuisine while supporting their favorite teams. Open seven days a week for dinner and late-night dining, diners can opt to sit in the 60-seat dining room or at the 15-seat bar for elevated riffs on classic sports bar fare, such as Eden's Crispy Chicken Wings with Garlic and Scallion; Cod Fritters with Garlic Cream and Spicy Tartar Sauce; The Pour George Burger; Grilled Shrimp with Lemon Puree and Avocado; and the Grilled Sourdough Sandwich with Smoked Bacon, Gruyere and Tomato and House-made Barbecue Chips. Sides include sliced heirloom tomatoes, roasted beets, homemade cottage fries with house-made mayos (including bacon and sriracha varieties), and an assortment of homemade potato chips, including Eden's "barbeque chips." |
