Ne Timeas Restaurant Group partners' Thomas McNaughton, David Steele and David White are pleased to announce the opening of Central Kitchen. The 48-seat restaurant offers refined food in a casual environment, and celebrates the bounty of Northern California produce and ingredients. Under the direction of executive chef/partner Thomas McNaughton and chef de cuisine Michael Gaines (formerly of Manresa), Central Kitchen's menu offers a soulful interpretation of Northern Californian regional cuisine. Central Kitchen's all-star team is rounded out by general manager Marko Sotto (RN74 alum), pastry chef Lisa Lu (formerly of Jardinière), and beverage director John Paul (of Ame in the St. Regis).
Acclaimed firm Paxton Gate designed the restaurant, while Alec Bauer customized its state-of-the-art kitchen. The main dining room of Central Kitchen is located in a 900-square-foot all-season outdoor courtyard with retractable roof, which the restaurant will share with Salumeria, an Italian-inspired delicatessen and larder, which the Ne Timeas team is scheduled to open later this spring. During the day, guests can enjoy menu items from Salumeria like panini, house-made charcuterie, retail wines, and more in the al fresco courtyard, while at night, Central Kitchen's doors will open onto the all-weather courtyard, offering all guests a view of the exposed open kitchen and European-style pass. |
