Named after the custom-built fireplace that anchors the restaurant and in which all cooking is done, Camino is owned/operated by chef Russell Moore. Moore is a 20 year Chez Panisse alum who helped write several cookbooks with Alice Waters and spearheaded the restaurant’s signature charcuterie and sustainable seafood program. Camino is a stand-alone space adjacent to Oakland’s Lake Merritt neighborhood and features exposed brick walls, communal dining, and large chandeliers adorned with bay leaves; the menu highlights food that is hearty, simple and rustically refined including Moore’s signature Boudin Blanc. |
