Owner Yann de Rochefort and executive chef/partner Seamus Mullen opened Boqueria, featuring regional Spanish cuisine in Manhattan's Flatiron District. Named for Barcelona's renowned food market El Mercado de la Boqueria, the namesake restaurant features a seasonal ingredient-driven menu offering a selection of tapas, media raciones (small plates), and raciones (entrée-sized plates).
Designed to evoke the casual bars and cervezerias that Mr. de Rochefort and chef Mullen discovered while traveling and eating their way through Spain, Boqueria suits diners who are dropping in for a quick tapa and caña (small draft beer), or those making a larger meal out of compartir (shared plates). |
